On Semantics
On Semantics I’m a software engineer, and it is not uncommon for me to talk with colleagues about semantics. We discuss semantics while clarifying a specification, or being precise about a new language or specific notation while writing a paper or a proposal. In my field, people commonly argue that semantics will enable machines to use the Web better. From time to time- some writers actively promote the use of data with semantics instead of without.
